The heartthrob of millions and one the most admired actors in Bollywood; he is none other than Hrithik Roshan. Born on 10th January, 1974, green eyed Hrithik started his career as an Assistant Director and helped in his father Rakesh Roshan’s films like Koyla and many more. With his dreamy eyes and a perfectly toned physique, he has acquired the tag of being called as the”Greek God” of B’town. He started his career at the age of 24 with his debut film that created history with Kaho Na Pyar Hai. Hrithik is admired and loved for his handsome looks, acting, impeccable dancing skills but mostly for his ten on ten super physique! He is seen revealing his washboard abs and Greek God like physique in movies like Kaho Na Pyar Hai, Kites, Dhoom2, Krrish and its sequel, Agneepath and his latest flick Bang Bang.

He will start penning down his fitness regime but because of his hectic schedule, he has postponed it till he completes his shoot for his next flick. Until he finishes his books, let’s quickly jot down some facts about his fitness secrets:

Hrithik had gained weight after his back to back health problems like brain injury and double slip disc back injury. He used to lie back at home and would feed on the love and affection of his friends and relatives in the form of brownies and cup cakes. When he was about to get started with his work, his waist was 36 and a ½ inches, he was smoking 3 packs of cigarettes in a day and had lost his super hero body shape. Hrithik did not lose hope and searched on the net and got to know about the Sheru Classic festival. He went there and met Kris Gethin, the most talked about instructor over there. He hired Kris Gethin as his personal instructor and lost 6 inches from his waist in a short span of time of 10 weeks.

    2.Hrithik starts his day with cardio exercises

Hrithik spends 20 minutes on cardio workouts. If you want a hot body like him, then spend at least 20 minutes on the trade mill or simply go for jogging at the nearest park. Get started with cardio and stay fit for the whole day.

    3.Gym Workouts

Lunges, dumbbell bench press, push-ups, dumbbell flyes, bent over barbell rowls, back extensions, calf raise, warm ups, leg press, squats, seated leg tucks, marble military press, side lateral raise, 3 sets of seated raise, dumbbell triceps extension, concentrated curls, straight arm pull down, standard bicep extension and lots of warm up. These gym workouts are done by hrihtik on different days of the week. So, if you want to do all these gym exercises, make sure you make a time table for it.

     4.Healthy food habit

Hrithik maintains a healthy food habit of protein rich food like 4 egg whites, 2 brown breads, protein smoothie or shake and fruit salad. After you workout for 45 to 50 minutes, be careful about your first meal of the day. Your breakfast should be heavy but healthy. For your lunch have one non vegetarian item along with salad and for the final meal of the day, make it very light, go for some light vegetarian dish for dinner time. Follow a simple rule to have breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a beggar.

     5.Drink load of water

Drinking 2-3 litres of water helps to get rid of excess water stored in the water and detoxify your body. You need water to balance the amount of perspiration your body undergoes while undergoing the workout sessions. If you don’t drink the right amount water, your body will tend to dehydrate making you sick. So, be very conscious about that bottle of water and keep it by your side while all day.

     6.Get a good night sleep

Sleep is very important for your good health. Hrithik is very particular about his nap time, so for all of those fitness freaks, who want to follow this Bollywood diva, get some nap after a heavy workout and sleep for at least 8 hours a day.
