Health Breakfast – Again with delicious pancakes !!


The Most Delicious Spelt Pancakes

In Our Previous Section of Healthy Breakfast, we share some Healthy recipes. Today , You’ll love the most delicious pancakes keep you fueled for the day.

Soaking the batter overnight gives these delicious pancakes a slight sourdough

flavor, helps the pancakes rise more easily, and makes them easily digestible to fuel

us for the day. (Note: If you don’t soak the batter they will still turn out.) Serve

with maple syrup , agave nectar or honey , or any of the sweeteners

. I also like to serve these with berries and 1 tbsp of kefir or yogurt.

1 cup (250 mL) spelt flour

1 cup (250 mL) buttermilk or yogurt

1 egg

½ tsp good salt

½ tsp baking powder

1 tbsp good oil

1–2 tsp good oil  or spray

Preparation :

In a medium bowl, lightly mix flour and buttermilk with a fork. Set in a warm place

overnight. (I like the inside of the oven, turned off but with the light on. Some

people use the top of a refrigerator or a spot near a heater.) In the morning, in a

small bowl or mug, lightly beat egg and stir into flour mixture. Add salt, baking

powder, and oil, and stir until well mixed. Spray or lightly oil a frying pan with oil

and add ¼ cup (60 mL) of pancake mixture. Cook for 1–2 minutes, until bottom

of pancake starts to turn brown. Flip to other side and cook for another 1–2

minutes. Repeat for remaining pancake batter.
